Grain-Free Granola

Granolas are often loaded with sugar and you can rarely find one that is not grain based. Try making your own using your favorite combination of nutes, seeds, dried fruit and spices.

WHAT YOU NEED

Cranberry Granola

  • 1-cup pecans
  • ½ cup hemp seed
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin seed
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon
  • ½ cup coconut oil (optional)

 HOW TO PREPARE

  • Nuts and seeds can be soaked and roasted or dehydrated to make them easier to digest
  • Chop nuts
  • Add seeds and dried fruit (chop if pieces are larger)
  • Melt coconut oil and mix with nuts and seeds
  • Add cinnamon to taste
  • Store in an airtight container
  • When serving add fresh fruit, if desired, and serve with homemade nut or coconut milk
