Everyone needs to take a multivitamin

Overall, I do believe that everyone needs to take a multivitamin. The current situation of our society provides too much stress, poor quality food, poor vitamin/mineral content of soil and too many toxins to allow the human body to heal on its own. If you live off the grid and are able to avoid the aforementioned insults to our bodies, then you can consider not taking a multivitamin. 🙂

When choosing a multivitamin, consider the SONA (Super Optimal Nutritional Allowance) as opposed to the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance). The RDA is preventing disease and the SONA is promoting health. However, whenever taking more than the RDA, patients should have some guidance from a physician knowledgeable in nutritional therapy.

To good health,

Evan H. Hirsch, MD
